Non-recyclable waste
Changed to fortnightly collection
Hints and tips to create more space in your black bin
Around 60% of household waste is recyclable, please use your new brown outdoor food bin and blue-lidded bin to recycle as much as possible. To recycle your garden waste, sign up to our chargeable garden waste service, use a home composter or take to your Local Recycling Centre.
If you think you will still create too much waste to fit into your black bin, you can:
-
take your waste to your Local Recycling Centre
-
donate unwanted items, such as clothes and furniture to charity
-
book a bulky waste collection.
-
purchase excess waste or nappy sacks from the Town Hall or Wiggenhall depot
Please don't leave your waste:
-
outside your house for scrap metal collectors as this is illegal
-
on the street or by a litter bin as this is classed as fly tipping
